TRAKKA Akuna A2M, Delivery 2021
The Camper
Having hired various high quality VW campervans in Scotland, I could see the TRAKKA models were cleverly set out with thoughtfully designed.
There are so many excellent features it is difficult to choose, but the single fuel source comes high on the list. The many powerpoints and USB charge points mean I can utilise all areas of the van when I want to plug in my devices for work or entertainment.
It was cold enough at Wollomombi National Park to take advantage of the generous supply of free firewood to light a warming campfire 🔥
The Family
I feel part of a family being a TRAKKA owner, one that many others admire and respect. It is also reassuring to know that if I have any problems help is only a phone call or an email away.

Most Recent Adventure
I’m on a six week trip at the moment, from north Queensland to Sydney and inland, which has included staying at campsites both powered and unpowered, free RV stops and National Parks. I generally avoid rough or unsealed roads (with the exception of accessing National Parks). I have encountered some wet muddy conditions but the excellent traction control on my Akuna has enabled me to get out of trouble a few times now.

Future Trips
Living in north Queensland means I have to make the most of the cooler months for my trips but there are many interesting destinations I can reach with only a few days of driving. I’m looking forward to visiting Uluru before too long. However, that doesn’t mean my lovely Akuna sits idle during the summer. It is my everyday vehicle and because it is so versatile and easy to drive and park it is also used as my mobile office, kitchen and overnight accommodation when I have to work late at one of my volunteer jobs.
Mount Inkerman Lookout between Ayr and Bowen in North Queensland. A lovely spot to stop for a picnic 🧺
Any Other Thoughts To Share
I can attest to the extremely high quality of the Akuna A2M conversion. I knew as soon as I saw the iMotorhome video review this was the perfect van for me; I consider myself so lucky to have been able to acquire it when I did and I treasure every day I am able to enjoy traveling in my Akuna. If I didn’t have other commitments I would be living in my little home full time!
