The rollout of our MY25 spec has been one of the biggest leaps forward for TRAKKA in recent years. The introduction of 48V electrical systems marked a major turning point for us, bringing new capabilities, new options and even a whole new vocabulary. It arrived at just the right moment as MY25 also introduced a refreshed interior look across the range with warmer and more natural lighting, acoustic linings, upgraded bedding and a series of layout improvements that immediately made the vans feel more intuitive and comfortable to live in.
As we moved into 2025 and MY25 settled into full production, we welcomed the Fiat Ducato platform back into the range with the Torino T2. It proved to be the perfect model to showcase what MY25 can deliver within a compact 6 metre footprint. From there, MY25 moved through our Jabiru builds and into our VW based Akuna models. One of the standout moments was the return of 4Motion AWD which had been missing from the lineup for quite some time. The updated MY25 Crafter brought a range of safety and infotainment improvements and fit beautifully between the Torino and Jabiru ranges. For the first time ever, TRAKKA began production on the VW Crafter LWB 4Motion which stretches to 6.84 metres and offers that extra bit of space without losing the off road capability that so many customers look for.

The first half of the year was filled with a busy show circuit that took us to Melbourne, then Sydney and finally a long awaited return to Brisbane and showcasing our new Adventure Garage option. The response from the community was energising and we are already looking forward to heading back to Queensland in 2026.

Behind the scenes our compliance and quality systems continued to play a crucial role. The RVmap program which replaced the former RVMAA structure we were once part of remains an important benchmark for Australian Design Rules and federal compliance. This year involved both exhibition inspections and a thorough onsite review at TRAKKA HQ. We passed all requirements with excellent results including assessments related to electrical standards such as AS or NZS 3001.2.2022. Alongside this our QMS or Quality Management System and COP or Compliance of Production frameworks continued to underpin the consistency and reliability of every vehicle that leaves our workshop.

Content creation was another strong part of the year. Our Olney State Forest shoot with the Jabiru J2 AWD was a highlight and our cooking series continued to resonate with the TRAKKA community. We also began prototyping the new Trakkadu and opened pre orders which were met with impressive enthusiasm from both new customers and long time TRAKKA Family members.

Looking ahead to 2026 things are already shaping up to be just as exciting. We have released details of our MY26 spec which builds on the 48V platform and introduces new standard inclusions such as 800 watts of solar and an electric awning. There are also new optional upgrades including a high capacity roof mounted air conditioning system and a 1600 watt solar package.

Our show schedule is expanding next year with our return to the Melbourne Motor Show and plans for an additional Queensland appearance in October. There are also several anticipated models on the way. The Jabiru J5 will become our first three seater in this range and is expected to be available for viewing in the second quarter of 2026 complete with an electric pop top roof option. We are also bringing back the Torino T4 after ongoing requests from customers. The combination of its sub 6.5 metre length and Fiat’s wider body makes it an ideal option for those wanting a slightly larger feel without stepping up to a much bigger platform.

Another major moment for 2026 will be the launch of the new Trakkadu pop top campervan. We are aiming for late January or early February for the full reveal with photorealistic renders arriving beforehand. The level of interest and early pre orders especially from returning TRAKKA owners has been incredibly rewarding.
We are also planning another TRAKKA Family gathering in the second half of 2026. To make it as accessible as possible we will aim for a time outside of school holidays and choose a centrally located destination. The Facebook group will soon include a poll so everyone can help choose the best month and location.

To support both current and future owners we will be releasing a comprehensive series of instructional videos and how to content throughout 2026. Filming has already begun with MY25 models and the full suite will continue once MY26 display vehicles are available. These guides are intended to streamline handovers provide clear reference material and give new customers a deeper understanding of how and why we design our systems the way we do.
