North Journal is quarterly publication distributed to Sydney’s Northern Beaches, city and NSW central coast. Basically you will find it where you find good coffee!! For their Spring edition, we handed the keys over to our VW T6 Trakkadu AT. North Journal’s Tim Boreham and vanlifer/photographer Grace Picot headed to the South Coast around Kiama and Mollymook for a few days.. We wanted these cool cats to get the feel of what the modern multipurpose camper was all about. These guys are no strangers to travelling in a van and what Australian travel has to offer, having embarked on an incredible trip across Australia earlier this year.
I couldn’t believe how easy it was, there was no planning required, just spontaneous decisions and a good view to end each day…. It felt like the Trakkadu was some form of time machine, a DeLorean, capable of taking us between the best of both worlds, a city life where we pursue our passions in business but at any moment could just tap us out into the great outdoors at the push of a button.
We wanted this duo to experience was what a 2016 VW T6 Trakkadu has to offer. Features like our electric awning, blind systems for the windows, integrated LED lighting, diesel cooktop and Volkswagen’s App Connect are taking what defines a ‘campervan’ to the next level and by the look of the photos, they took to the technology like ducks in water.
