The Easter long weekend is undeniably one of the biggest camping weekends in the calendar, and this year, while done a little differently, didn’t disappoint.
COVID-19 and social distancing rules may have put the kybosh on an official Easter ‘getaway’, but Trakka family member Annie Palmer had other ideas. The Trakkadu adventurer suggested we rally the broader Trakka enthusiasts and participate in a ‘TRAKKA @ Home’ staycation. So, joined (figuratively) by clients from all over the country, we made the most of what we had, and set up camp in our yards.
From VW T3 Campers and Unimog Adventurers to Trakkaway coach built Motorhomes, we endured high winds, shared images, videos, driving routes from around the block (thanks Alan Hall!), cook ups ideas and firepits; and in doing so, reignited the sense of community our Trakka aficionados are renowned for.
A huge thank you to everyone that participated in our Trakka @ Home Easter staycation, you certainly kept the travel embers burning. We can’t wait to see you all back on the road as soon as possible but for now, here are a few of our favourite images from Easter at home.
